You’ll need: scissors, markers or colored pencils, and a glue stick.
To follow along with this project, you first need to download and print this paper tube puppet template onto thick white paper. Hint: you can also take a peek at the template and use it as a guide for creating your own!
1
Cut the template as directed. Draw a body that uses the cut out circle as the head. Then draw 3 different faces in each of the three circles. (Click here for some face ideas)
2
Spread glue on one end of the sheet with the faces, then roll the paper to make tube. Press the other end to the gluey end until it holds.
3
Wrap the body sheet around the tube with the faces. It should fit tight enough that the faces sheet doesn’t fall out, but loose enough that it can rotate. Glue so it holds.
4
Line up the faces with the hole. Twist the inner tube to change the expression of your puppet.
