You’ll need: White paper (not too thick), pencil (optional), crayons, broad dark-colored marker OR watercolor paint + brush.
1
Draw your animal so it takes up most of the paper. If you’ve drawn in pencil first, trace over your lines with black crayon.
2
Use crayons to color inside your animal. Then draw and color what’s in the background. Fill the paper with color with almost no white showing.
3
Crumple your drawing into a ball. Open up, then crumple it again. Repeat a few more times.
Open your paper, and smooth it out as flat as possible. There will be lots of little wrinkles.
4
Using the side of the marker, color on top of your drawing. The crayon won’t absorb the marker, but all the creases and cracks will, giving your art an old, weathered look.
