You’ll need: coffee filters (2 per flower), pipe cleaners (1 per flower), washable markers, spray bottle or sponge, water, and scrap paper to protect your work surface.

Coffee Filter Flowers Step One

Stack two filters together with a paper underneath to protect your surface. Color the top filter with markers. Use a wet sponge or spray bottle to wet the two filters completely.

Pull the two filters apart. Wave them back and forth until they are dry.

Coffee Filter Flowers Step Three

Stack the dried filters together again. Fold them in half (like a taco), then in half again (like a pizza slice), then in half again (like a piece of pie), and fold them one last time (like an ice cream cone.)

Wrap a pipe cleaner 3-4 times around the pointy end of the ice cream cone shape, leaving a long tail for the stem. Spread out the filters to make the petals of the flower.
