Arts For Life welcomes new staff member!

Troy Davidson, originally from South Florida, has dedicated his career to empowering children and caregivers through arts and entertainment. For 15 years he worked at Niklaus Children's Hospital in Miami as a supervisor and performer for Healthy Humor Inc., a clown arts company focused on creating moments of joy, laughter, and comfort for kids and their families in hospital settings. For over a decade of summers, Troy was also the coordinator and resident “Camp Clown” for The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp, a medically specialized camp in Connecticut for children started by Paul Newman. There, he not only provided ambient antics and skits but also taught kids circus arts and coordinated campwide talent shows. Seasonally, he works with a recreational therapist, teaching counselors at Salvation Army Summer Camps across the SouthEastern United States how to actionably lead with empathy when working with campers of all ages and backgrounds. A graduate of the Acting School of South Florida, Troy is also a professional stage actor of over 20 years and a member of the Actor’s Equity Association. Recently he and his wife happily decided to move with their 2-year-old puppy to Winston-Salem, NC. And although he does go by Troy, he will most happily answer to his clown name, "Waffles."
